  1. Look for a bolt and remove the bolt, lift up on the agitator. Maytag Dependable Care Washer: Locate a 1/4 inch screw on the side of the agitator, ( about 3/4 of the way down) remove this screw and lift up on the agitator. Maytag Atlantis and Performa: Remove the cap and softener dispenser by pulling it off and locate the agitator bolt.
  2. THE MAT20 COMMERCIAL TOP-LOAD WASHER. MAYTAG® COMMERCIAL LAUNDRY HAS REINVENTED OUR TOP-LOAD WASHER. When we say it's a new top-load, we don't just mean it's got a ½-HP PSC motor, traditional flex-vane agitator and heavy-duty cabinet for extra-rugged reliability—which it does.
  3. Maytag offers a wide range of washers of two main types: front and top load. Most machines are designed for domestic use and cope with the laundry amount of 6-12 kg. However, there are also larger-size washers with extra capacity that can be chosen for commercial services or laundries.

Maytag Atlantis Washer Manual Remove Agitator Maytag Dryer

Hi. My Maytag Atlantis washing machine won't agitate. It fills with water and even makes noise as if it were agitating (but when you peek in it is not agitating) and continues to the spin and drain cycles just fine. I actually didn't realize there was a problem at all until I washed a load of whites and realized that my boys' dirty little socks were still very dirty! My husband checked the belt, but it was still in tact. He also did something that he thought tightened it, just in case, but it is still not working. I have done a bit of reading to figure this out on my own, but can't find a direct answer. One place said that some models have a reverse motor - so it would agitate in reverse and spin in forward. I simply do not know how to figure that out for sure. I don't want to order a $100+ motor, only to find that it doesn't need it afterall. Any help that you can offer would be greatly appreciated!
